I am a programmer. I code because I love to create, especially when it empowers people to share their creative expressions, whether that be artistic design or scientific research. I believe programming is as much an art as a science and to do it well requires a unique synchronicity of both hemispheres of the brain.
I am a songwriter. I write because I love to create, especially when what I create may connect with another soul in a way that no other medium can. Like programming, songwriting is both art and science, head and heart, mind and spirit. The best songs are thoughtful and beautiful; structured, yet flowing; simple, but brilliant.
I am a husband. My wife is my rock. She grounds me like nothing else. She holds up a mirror when I need it most and supports me as no one else can. She is the foundation of our family. I am the luckiest man in the world to be married to the most amazing woman in this or any universe and I love her with every piece of my heart.
I am a father. No other role has been more challenging nor brought me such joy. I would do anything for my boys and there is nothing better than seeing them grow into perfect little beings. They are reflections of myself yet each their own unique person. I have experienced no greater love than that I have for my children.
When I’m not busy engaged in one or more of the above, I enjoy sailing, camping, hiking, traveling, cooking, craft beer, good food, genealogy, and many other hobbies there never seems to be enough time for.
